I’ll be right up there, bowing down to Above and Beyond *respect*! 
I must admit, when a friend told me about Submerge.in, it really took me by surprise. A few months later, it continues to surprise me! This may just prove to be the foundation of a solid EDM presence in India…
Forget Ibiza, go to Noida… Club Elevate has hosted some really big names like ATB and Paul Oakenfold. It’s a fabulous place with quite a strong character. They do dish out the local fare more often, but then if that keeps them in business for the occasional massive gig - who cares!
Why is the Indian Club Scene important? Because for most part of my life, there wasn’t one! It is only in recent years that EDM has got off in a sustainable way in India, thanks to a new generation of youth that has either studied, or worked, or both, in some of the world’s most cosmopolitan and progressive cities. These people are coming back to India now to take advantage of the vast opportunities opening up here, and they are bringing bits and pieces of the global culture back with them.
